If you’ve ever visited Walt Disney World, you know just how magical and convenient a MagicBand 2 can be. From park entry to ride access, hotel room unlocking, and even payment processing, these little wristbands do it all. But did you know that your MagicBand 2 can last far longer than you might expect? In fact, many Disney fans report their MagicBands working perfectly for years beyond their initial trip!

For years, MagicBand technology has been a game-changer for Disney World visitors, offering seamless access to park tickets, Lightning Lanes, and even hotel room entry. But in 2025, MagicBand+ is set to become even more indispensable.

Disney updated MagicBands to MagicBand 2 a couple of years ago and have since added a few new colors at various times. So just how many colors are avaialble now? So lets take a bit of a step back. Original MagicBands were released in 2015 and started off with just 7 plain base colors; Gray, Red, Yellow, Pink, Orange, Green and Blue. Disney resort guests could choose one of the 7 colors for 'free' to use throughout their stay

We're ofter asked by customers "what's the best Magic Band Color?"  This is a very hard question to answer, there are a few color options... In terms of the free Magic Bands offered by Disney to resort guests, the options are: Gray, Yellow, Blue, Pink, Green, Orange, Purple and Red.  Other solid color Magic Bands can be purchased from Disney store locations: Lavender, Turquoise, Navy, Dark Green, Millenial Pink, Black and White.

Since the MagicBands launched a few years ago the most requested color has been purple yet until late December 2015 the purple color wasn't offered. In December the purple MagicBands went on retail sale in limited numbers and were initially hard to track down. Fortunately, on March 6th changes were made to make them available to guests staying at a Disney Resort through the My Disney Experience website.
